Menjalankan tugas-tugas di bawah program keselamatan dan kualiti makanan ke atas industri makanan, pematuhan makanan domestik dan import, kawalan eksport makanan serta analisis makanan berdasarkan Akta Makanan 1983 dan peraturan-peraturan di bawahnya. Pegawai Teknologi Makanan juga bertanggungjawab menjalankan aktiviti-aktiviti yang melibatkan skop latihan/analisis risiko, mikrobiologi, molekular, aditif makanan, kontaminan dan residu racun perosak.

Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Aneka produk makanan, minuman serta komoditi Indonesia kembali meraih transaksi besar dalam pameran ke-15 Malaysia International Food and Beverages (MIFB) 2014, mencapai Rp8,625 miliar.

"Jumlah transaksinya mencapai senilai 750 ribu dolar AS atau setara Rp8,625 miliar, yang berarti melebihi target yang diharapkan," kata Atase Perdagangan KBRI Kuala Lumpur, Fajarini Puntodewi kepada Antara di Kuala Lumpur, Rabu.

Menurut dia, produk makanan dan minuman yang meraih transaksi di antaranya produk teh, produk kakao, produk diet dan franchise ayam goreng.

Selain transaksi tersebut, lanjut dia, produk-produk UKM Indonesia yang dijual secara retail juga sangat laris sehingga semua produk terjual habis.

Puntodewi menambahkan, permintaan akan produk Indonesia tidak saja berasal dari Malaysia, namun juga dari beberapa negara lainnya seperti Bangladesh, Tunisia dan Hong Kong.

Pameran yang berlangsung pada 19-21 Juni 2014 diikuti oleh 400 exhibitor, termasuk 26 exhibitor international antara lain dari Tiongkok, Ekuador, Yunani, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea Selatan, Taiwan, Thailand dan Singapura.

Pada pameran kali ini, Pavilion Indonesia yang dikoordinasikan oleh Bidang Perdagangan KBRI Kuala Lumpur, menyewa 6 stan dan membawa 18 perusahaan yang terdiri atas perusahaan besar, menengah dan kecil.

Produk yang ditawarkan adalah teh, kopi, coklat, minuman diet dan kesehatan, ikan kaleng, lauk (rendang) serta produk makanan kecil lainnya seperti bakpia, kue, makanan ringan, dan bumbu instan.

Meskipun pasar Malaysia tidak besar, namun produk Indonesia masih memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan dan diekspor baik ke Malaysia maupun pasar internasional lainnya.

Produk seperti teh, kopi dan kakao dari Indonesia memiliki pasar sangat baik di Malaysia, karena kualitas yang tinggi serta biaya transportasi lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan pesaing dari Afrika.

(Berita Daerah – Nasional) Dalam pameran Malaysia International Food and Beverages (MIFB) 2014 yang ke-15, aneka produk makanan, minuman serta komoditi lainnya yang berasal dari Indonesia berhasil meraih transaksi yang besar mencapai angka Rp8,625 miliar. Atas Perdagangan KBRI Kuala Lumpur Fajarini Puntodewi di Kuala Lumpur, Rabu (2/7) lalu  mengatakan jika nilai transaksi yang dihasilkan dari pameran kali ini melebihi target yang diharapkan.

Pameran yang berlangsung pada tanggal 19-21 Juni 2014 tersebut oleh 400 exhibitor dan termasuk 26 exhibitor internasional yang berasal dari Tiongkok, Ekuador, Yunani, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Korea Selatan, Taiwan, Thailand dan Singapura. Pada pameran kali ini pavilion Indonesia dikoordinasikan oleh Bidang Perdagangan KBRI Kuala Lumpur.

Didalam pameran itu pavilion KBRI menyewa 6 stan dan diisi oleh 18 perusahaan yang terdiri dari perusahaan besar, menengah dan kecil Indonesia. Dari produk makanan yang ditawarkan tersebut, Dewi mengungkapkan jika produk yang mempu meraih transaksi cukup besar antara lain produk teh, produk kakao, produk diet serta franchise ayam goreng. Produk yang dihasilkan oleh UKM Indonesia memang sangat diminati oleh asing sehingga produk yang dijual secara retail sangat laris hingga habis terjual.

Selain dari Malaysia, permintaan terhadap produk makanan dan minuman asal Indonesia juga berasal dari beberapa negara lainnya seperti Bangladesh, Tunisia dan juga Hong Kong. Ini menunjukkan jika produk makanan dan minuman yang dihasilkan oleh UKM indonesia memiliki kualitas yang bagus serta memiliki potensi untuk dijadikan produk ekspor.

Pasar untuk produk makanan dan minuman Indonesia di Malaysia memang tidak begitu besar, akan tetapi ini tetap menjadi peluang untuk terus dikembangkan karena memiliki potensi yang besar untuk dijadikan komoditas ekspor baik dengan tujuan negara Malaysia maupun pasar internasional lainnya.

Malaysia sangat berminat terhadap produk seperti teh, kopi dan kakao dari Indonesia karena memiliki kualitas yang tinggi dan dinilai lebih rendah biaya transportasi pengirimannya jika dibandingkan dengan para pesaing dari negara Afrika. Ini dapat menjadi sebuah peluang yang baik bagi Indonesia terutama industri makanan dan minuman karena dapat bersaing serta meraih pasar regional demi memperkuat kedudukan Indonesia dalam menghadapi MEA.

Produk makanan dan minuman halal Indonesia juga sangat diminati oleh negara Malaysia serta China. Malaysia memang berminat terhadap produk makanan dan minuman halal asal Indonesia karena penduduk Malaysia banyak yang menjadi pemeluk agama islam sehingga membutuhkan makanan dan minuman halal untuk dikonsumsi.

Selain itu juga negara China yang berminat terhadap produk makanan dan minuman halal dari Indonesia karena memang China sedang gencar membangun industri halal untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penduduk muslim disana. Salah satu daerah yang banyak terdapat penduduk muslimnya di China adalah Provinsi Ningxia.

Keracunan <b>Makanan di</b> Bazar Ramadhan – KKM - The <b>Malaysian</b> <b>...</b>

Kenyataan akhbar ini merujuk kepada laporan di akhbar Harian Metro bertajuk "Juadah Beracun" dan akhbar Berita Harian; "Masuk ICU selepas makan roti john yang disiarkan pada hari ini Jumaat 4 Julai 2014.

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin melaporkan sehingga hari ini sebanyak 36 kes telah dikenalpasti mendapat gejala-gejala keracunan makanan akibat memakan Roti John yang dibeli dari Bazar Ramadhan Taman Seri Muda, Shah Alam. Seramai 24 orang masih dirawat di hospital, manakala 12 orang dirawat di klinik pesakit luar. Kesemua kes adalah di dalam keadaan stabil. Tiada kes kematian dilaporkan.

Keputusan awal bagi ujian ke atas lima (5) spesimen klinikal didapati positif Salmonella spp. Manakala ujian ke atas spesimen dari pengendali makanan terbabit serta swab persekitaran masih belum diperolehi keputusannya. Ia dijangka siap dalam tempoh tiga (3) hari.

KKM telah menjalankan langkah-langkah pencegahan dan kawalan bagi membendung wabak ini. KKM dan Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan akan terus bekerjasama dalam memastikan keselamatan makanan di semua Bazar Ramadhan.

KKM menasihati agar masyarakat sentiasa menjadi pembeli yang bijak dan mengutamakan kebersihan, keselamatan dan kualiti makanan yang ingin dibeli. Masyarakat perlu mengambil langkah-langkah untuk mencegah keracunan makanan yang mungkin berpunca daripada premis-premis makanan:

Memilih makanan yang dijual oleh penjual yang mengamalkan kebersihan.

Menegur penjual yang tidak mengamalkan kebersihan.

Melaporkan penjaja/peniaga yang kotor kepada Pejabat Kesihatan/Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan.

Para peniaga makanan di bazaar Ramadhan perlulah sentiasa bertanggunjawab dengan sentiasa mengamalkan kebersihan dalam pengendalian makanan bagi memastikan keselamatan makanan.

Maklumat tambahan bagi pengendali makanan yang selamat

Di antara tip-tip pengendalian makanan yang selamat ialah:

  1. Sentiasa menjaga kebersihan diri dengan basuh tangan setiap kali sebelum mengendalikan makanan atau dengan secara kerap semasa menyediakan makanan.
  2. Basuh dan bersihkan permukaan dan peralatan untuk penyediaan makanan.
  3. Lindungi kawasan dapur daripada serangga, makhluk perosak dan haiwan lain.
  4. Pisahkan makanan mentah dari makanan yang telah dimasak untuk elakkan pencemaran silang.
  5. Masak makanan atau panaskan makanan secara menyeluruh dengan sempurna
  6. Pastikan suhu makanan selamat, dengan tidak membiarkan makanan yang telah masak di bawah suhu bilik melebihi daripada 4 jam.
  7. Pastikan makanan yang telah dimasak sentiasa panas (lebih daripada 60°C) sebelum dihidangkan.
  8. Jangan simpan makan terlalu lama dalam peti sejuk.
  9. Gunakan air dan bahan mentah yang segar dan selamat
  10. Basuh buah-buahan dan sayur-sayuran terutamanya yang dimakan mentah.
  11. Jangan gunakan makanan selepas tamat tempoh.
